ParticipantCalled to the above washer Dryer as dryer not working.
Both overheat stats tripped so reset. Ran a test, the dryer heats and the fan runs. Although there was residual water in the hose to the top of the condenser the condenser valve did not open to release any more water to cool the condenser.
When running on dry I didn’t get 240v at the valve.
Can anyone tell me if this valve should operate all the time the dryer is running/heating or if there are any other conditions that need to be met before the valve will open? Also should the valve open continuously when drying?
Thanks,
Keith.

Thanks for the info Dave.
The tech info you have sent refers to the valve that feed the condenser as the “condensing cleaning valve” so is this valve only used for cleaning rather than cooling the condenser when running? If it only cleans how is the condenser cooled?I will pm you for the other info.

Another thought on this:
Another fault was reported which was no heat. I found the wash element open circuit so this will have to be replaced. Could an open circuit wash element affect the condenser valve?February 3, 2018 at 3:57 pm #453642electrofix

Thanks for the tech info, interesting read.
it looks like the drying cycle starts with 1 minute distribute then pre-heating 10 minutes followed by thermal spinning for 15 minutes a total of 26 minutes without the condenser valve operating so it’s possible I didn’t wait long enough for the valve to operate.
Looks like I’m going back for more testing.February 4, 2018 at 7:30 pm #453645electrofix
