Hi, I recently bought a secound frost free freezer in perfect condition from a friend of a friend. When I turned it on it was quite noisy and on the display it said TOO COOL, in the morning it was fine(this is with not much in). I filled it up later in the day and the TOO WARM came on, this has been 2 days, it seems the food in the middle of the freezer is still quite soft the bottom and top are a little harder, any help would be really appreciating
The noise would indicate either a faulty fan motor or possibly the compressor is failing.
If you need verification, you’ll need an engineer to check it for you to confirm any faults, it may of course be something simple caused by moving it.
Check repairs@ and the directories for an engineer if you need it checked over, other than that, the friend of a friend may be willing to take it back ?
Hi Dave
thankyou for your swift reply. One more question the temperature dial is 0-6 is it coolest at a lower number, I may have been setting it too high at 4-5, we are still waiting for the booklet im hoping it is going to be ok.
Regards Vicki
