Hi, I have taken the top off my Smeg cooker to carry out repairs to the clock / timer. I have not touched any of the gas connections. On reassembling I have noticed gasket / seals around each of the four burners which seal against the cooker top. Two of these gasket / seals were damaged when the top was removed and these gaskets seem exspensive and quite difficult to obtain – would a suitable sealant be okay for this and if so could somebody recommend one to use please.

Hi Dave, the model number is Smeg SUK62MFX5 and the seals i need are the very large burner and he very small burner – the two medium sized burners are okay.
