    Can anyone throw some light on the need to reprogram tcfs93 hotpoint dryer when replacing element is to do with resistance of new heater read by electronics? thankyou

    don’t think there as any way to make dryer safe to use unless its programmed correctly. unless you have the right gear and software your stuffed

    only chance you may have is see if EMW can programme board with correct software. they have done it for me a few times in the long lost past

    It is because there are 2 different manufacturers of elements that have different stats that work at different temperatures. If the element you are replacing is made by the same manufacturer there is no need to re programme it.
