    Evening,

    The jockey wheel and belt both needed replacing on our Hotpoint Aquarius TCL780, I’ve stripped the dryer down, removed the old belt and jockey wheel, fitted the new jockey wheel but for the life of me I can’t get the new belt around the wheel.

    I’ve replaced the jockey wheel in the past and the old belt went around pretty easily (I watched the espares guide on YouTube), this new belt I can’t get anywhere near the wheel.

    I’ve checked and double checked the parts and they are correct.

    Any tips or suggestions on what to do next?

    undo and take out the bolt holding the pulley nearest to you

    loosen the one at the rear just enough so you can unhook it and flip it over. the back bolt now act as a hinge.
    put belt over the pulley then pull the pulley over and hook into position
    tighten the rear bolt but don’t lock up then move the bracket so you get fron screw back in
    see picture undo bolt (red) loosen other bolt , flip (yellow)

    then tighten everything up. carefully and slowly turn drum watching the belt does not fall off till everything centralizes

    then put all back together
