Hotpoint heat pump drier. Model no:- SUTCDGREEN9A1(UK) Industrial code:- 95868125500. Serial no:- 610034009.

Original jockey pulley melted so badly I had to cut it off with a hacksaw. Drum turns fine but slight braking force from the new type induction motor, but smooth. New pulley fitted ( CTD00 type minus the triangular plate) ran smooth no problems. Failed after two cycles. Thanks to Jim and Dave found the part number for the pulley – part on order.
Machine definately not overloaded and all seems in order……… is there a known issue with these pulleys? I remember the problems with the pattern CTD00P pulleys on the triangular plate failing as your tailights disappeared as I had several that did just that. I cannot see a reason for the failure as the pulley is sprung tensioned so in theory should last longer than the stretch belt version.
    Any views on this?

    Thanks!

    Steve.

I always fit the tension pulley from the TL61 old type dryers.
I did notice that the picture of the CTD00 pulley seems to come with a ball bearing now?
