Motor start/run capacitor on its way out – the one motor drives the drum and the fan – no air flow, safety trips out.
This what you want:
http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ucts_id=94Seize the opportunity to clear any fluff whilst the lower rear cover is off.
Pull the plug before doing anything :plug:

I have one of these – also fantastic, 3 – 4 years old.
It turns fine, all switches seem ok, but also NO heat!!
Could this just be the element? – and if so, is it easy to fix?

Start with the red button on the back – does it make a nice solid click when pushed? If it does, you have reset it and should get heat BUT – find the blockage.
Failing that, there is the heater and the thermostat on the back panel, and another thermostat down underneath. Any or all can fail.
Correct use of a multi meter is the only way to diagnose accurately, if you can’t do this, please get pro help. Check Directories or Repairs@ for a UKW engineer in your area.
Power off if investigating yourself.

Many thanks for your kind advice.
I tired the reset button – but no luck, so figured it might me something else.
I’m taking it to the ‘fixers’ tomorrow – and hope its a simple repair!!
