having problem with dryer, works ok sometimes and stops during drying cycle at other times?
heater reset button sometimes needs resetting and the drum needs a few spins by hand before it will get going
sometimes when reversing tumble it will stop? other times ok?
thinking that filters may be blocked? are there more than the fluf filter inside the case?
do over heat thermostats turn off motor?
great tumble dryer a work horse that has been well worth the money.
not been touched/serviced for 3 years and took a battering
    any advice would be welcome

Motor start/run capacitor on its way out – the one motor drives the drum and the fan – no air flow, safety trips out.
    This what you want:

Seize the opportunity to clear any fluff whilst the lower rear cover is off.

Pull the plug before doing anything :plug:

I have one of these – also fantastic, 3 – 4 years old.

It turns fine, all switches seem ok, but also NO heat!!

Could this just be the element? – and if so, is it easy to fix?

    Re: BOSCH WTA 2000 DRYER

Start with the red button on the back – does it make a nice solid click when pushed? If it does, you have reset it and should get heat BUT – find the blockage.

Failing that, there is the heater and the thermostat on the back panel, and another thermostat down underneath. Any or all can fail.

Correct use of a multi meter is the only way to diagnose accurately, if you can’t do this, please get pro help. Check Directories or Repairs@ for a UKW engineer in your area.

    Power off if investigating yourself.

Many thanks for your kind advice.

I tired the reset button – but no luck, so figured it might me something else.

I’m taking it to the ‘fixers’ tomorrow – and hope its a simple repair!!
