ParticipantHi. God I hate these contraptions! What follows is tested with a load and is retested with a water spray bottle to re-wet to retest the load so it remains moist whilst testing 2nd / 3rd times.
Set a just spun load in t/dryer on Super Quick 40 minutes and this is what happens: will start but then fail maybe after 5 minute or 20 minutes. No fault codes, only light that is flashing is the start button light. If this button is touched sometimes it`ll restart sometimes you have to open the door and close it then it will. Noticed when it runs up to 20 minutes or even beyond it gets very hot I also have noticed that when it stops to go anti-clockwise it doesn`t and continues in a clockwise direction which may well be 1) why it gets too hot and then 2) stops. So we have 2 consequences of one fault.
I did change to bottom front near the filter ntc temp probe in the early days of fooling around with this thing but that made no difference because at that time I had not cottoned on to the non reversing of the drum.I presume the drum is supposed to reverse??
So do you think it is the pcboard ?
Things noted: the water pump pumps and the water does get into the water container so that isn`t an issue. Filter is clear. did try the white vinegar trick on the thin metal sensor bar things. No blockages anywhere as far as I can find. On digital display count down 40 minutes runs sometimes down to 34 skips to 7 minutes ten count down and the odd skip to 0 without any cool down period. Any pointers please.

AFAIK BSH dryers haven’t reversed for some time now.

Yeah thanks Iadom on the drum rotating only one direction wasn`t sure at all as far as I knew could`ve swung 50 50. Still anyone else got any idea what is wrong with this damn thing? Anyone?? Anything common that screws up?

Hi Martin. The toc does not click out cutting out the heater =
Got a feeling, or at least suspect that it may not be over heating anyway and that is a red herring, just seemed to me to get hot quicker than I would expect and will not reverse the drum. Still leaves the question why the machine just aborts the programme with the start light flashing though. Get feeling it might be pcb run relay trying to be clever?? Your thoughts please? What in your experience is it most likely to be. My experience on these machines is fairly limited. -
