Hi I am in the process of trying to order a defective oven thermostat for a Delonghi DTC95E. One would think this process to be easy and all the parts supply sites quite quickly identify the part. My issue is that there are no technical specifications for the product. I am no expert on ovens but I am a qualified electrical engineer and realise the importance of the temperature rating on the side of the part. The Part has identical markings on top (I know this as e-spares has a picture) and I assume that T210 is the maximum temperature rating. My massive issue is that there is another temperature marking on the barrel of the part which in my case is 55 degrees C. I have contacted multiple technical departments to find out if the part they are selling is also rated the same temperature. No one can tell me, also more alarming is that if its higher than 55, people are buying them under advice of the parts companies and fitting them to their oven and away to go working oven. What if a 150 degree one is fitted instead of a 55 degree one, would that not render useless a safety feature of the oven? Am I missing something here or do I have genuine cause for concern? I feel I am missing something as none of the technical departments I have spoken to have any idea of what I am bumping about. Any constructive input on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: Ratings of TOC’s

    Hi

Without seeing the item I can get that t is the cut in / cut out temperatures but also bear in mind that if you going for a non genuine or alternative part that it should also be rated for the amperage.
