Hi, started with warm fridge, then after it was turned off and defrosted, turned back on it starts up ok and freezer gets to – 20, alarm light goes out. then during the night the alarm goes off and by the morning both fridge and freezer down to 0 degrees, alarm sounding.
checked out thermistors, fridge ones seem ok as does the evaporator, the freezer air temp sensor seems to be measuring high by 5 degrees, would this cause the issue??

Any help appreciated but might replace the freezer air temp sensor anyway……

When you state you measured the sensors, how did you do this ?
This units production period was 24.9.2009 to 18.10.2009, older than you thought.

Yes, only 5 years old. the ‘date’ on the control board is 08/13, but I believe only had a 2 year warranty. measured the sensors at varying temperatures, all but the freezer air temp thermistor read correct to Liebherr’s thermistor chart, it read 5 degrees high to corresponding resistance readings. I’ve not gone any further with it so far. Does anyone have any other diagnosis?
