ParticipantHello,
My Liebherr CNesf 3033 fridge/freezer has started to do the following, and I would appreciate any help or advice in identifying the cause, and what part/s and part/s number/s I might need are.
When you open the fridge door, the interior light, alarm button light temperature lights all flash once simultaneously. There is no alarm sound (although the door open alarm will work if left open for the pre set time approx. 60-90 seconds). The fridge seems to be working normally, including the fan. The freezer has more or less defrosted, it is still cold but no ice (I have had to move contents into a friends freezer).
After searching online (and finding/joining whitegoods public) I am wondering if it might be a faulty thermistor, but this is only a guess.
I am an electrician, so have test instruments tools etc., and have occasionally replaced oven elements for customers, as well as repairing many of my own electrical goods.
I haven’t carried out any testing on this appliance as yet, so hopefully I will get some pointers here.
Many thanks in anticipation for any help or advice.

Sounds like the integral board is faulty..

Hello Tony,
Thank you for your suggestion, did you base it on my description (perhaps the way the lights flash once) or is this a common fault with this model?
I am quite set up to replace board components if its not to small of a part.Would you be able to tell me the part number for the board required?
I see you do not appear to cover London for repairs. I am wondering what it might cost roughly to get someone in?Thanks again for your response.

Just wanted to add that for some reason my fridge freezer model does not appear in spares suppliers lists. CNesf 3033 on the rating plate, perhaps there is another model number for a white version (my one is stainless steel). or another reason….?
Thanks again.

I have seen this issue before, all the connections for interior light and sensors power off the integral board, the part number is 6113821, Liebherr GB do not have one in stock at the moment, but try the guys here at ukwhitegoods, it is listed on their parts system and is cheaper than Liebherrs screen price of £177 plus vat and postage.

Firstly, I just wanted to say thank you to Tony R for your helpful response/s
Secondly, I have some more questions……………at a cost for parts likely to be £140.00 + delivery (from ukwhitegoods), I was wondering if there are any preliminary tests or procedures I could carry out to narrow down if it is the board or not?
Also the flashing lights (now lights flash on/off/on/off continuously with fridge door open). Are particular light flashing sequences directly associated with a particular fault?
How do you access the integral board?
Thanks again for any help.

There are no tests you can perform on the board to test the board itself, take the mains plug out first, to replace board remove the covers to the left and right of the panel ( they clip on ) then remove the two torx screws holding the facia panel in place.
The sensor and power cables need to be removed from the ends of the board by pressing down on the tabs directly behind them and the white connectors can be pulled off in a backwards motion complete, unplug other connections on the top of the board, then push out the control knobs from the potentiometers, BE CAREFULL. The facia and board holder is made up in two sections which again unclip, then remove board by lifting gently while depressing holding clips, glass reed sensor needs to be removed ( it is connected to the grey bus cable ) and fits between the two sections, Its made of glass treat it with care.
It may help to take pictures as you go to remember how to put it back together and make sure the board is the right way round along with the two sections of the facia panel and where all your connections need to go.May 4, 2018 at 10:35 am #455525flyingsparks
