    Hello.

My Logik LFSTC50W oven is producing a very noticeable plasticy burning smell whenever I turn it on and it produces smoke.

I tried checking the inside connections (inside the over door) to the element but the wiring there hasn’t melted.

I took the back off and noticed that there is an area of burnt insulation as shown in the pictures.

What will I need to do in order to prevent this from continually burning? What part is likely causing this issue, why and will i need to replace it?

    Cheers

I would be looking at the terminal block where the mains cable should be 6mm twin and earth enters the cooker
