    Hi All,
I have a Bosch HBN56N551B/10 In built dual oven. Recently turned oven on and the main fuse tripped. Reset fuse and turned the oven back on. Noticed the main oven bulb had blown and the fan at the back of the oven was not working, element at the back of the oven was glowing red. Rest of main oven and smaller over working OK.
Checked parts diagram on Bosch website and the fan is the “BLOWER FAN”, part no 00495459, costs £175.
Can anyone help, is it the blower fan that is at fault and are there any compatible parts at a lower price.
If not might be just as well to get a new oven.

in this case I would think its unlikely the motor has failed. More likely is one of the tracks on the control board has blown after the bulb went

    Hi Dave,
    Thanks for quick reply.
How will I know if it is the control board for sure, can I do a simple check ?
Any idea how much that would cost to replace / repair.

you could remove the board and look for track damage

as for repair its a cross your fingers time. sometimes you can just repair the tracks and all will be ok. Other times its a new board
