    Hi

I have a problem of no heat in an older Philips tumble dryer. I tested the element loops for continuity and found one loop didnt make a circuit. Thefore bought a new heating element and put in in but still no heat. Fuse in plug is ok.

    What else could fail?

The bi metal part (heat overload?) tests ok for continuity as do the 2 thermal switches on the exhaust duct and the one switch on the backplate in the middle of the heating element.

Can these thermal switches fail but still test ok for continuity?

    Any other ideas welcome

Yes indeed, the main thermostat in the centre of the heater plate the usual suspect (Part No: 481928248046) available by emailing spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk with this information attached 😉

It’s already in the shop if required, under the Crosslee part number 😉
