Hi
I have a problem of no heat in an older Philips tumble dryer. I tested the element loops for continuity and found one loop didnt make a circuit. Thefore bought a new heating element and put in in but still no heat. Fuse in plug is ok.
What else could fail?
The bi metal part (heat overload?) tests ok for continuity as do the 2 thermal switches on the exhaust duct and the one switch on the backplate in the middle of the heating element.
Can these thermal switches fail but still test ok for continuity?
Any other ideas welcome
