ParticipantHi everyone
Looking for some help before I take a sledge hammer to our washer.
Bought a Candy grando vita washer GV169TW3W on 17th November 2017. It’s been fine up until about a month ago it now just stops mid cycle full of water.
I’m constantly have to kill the power to the machine for a few minutes, turn the dial to rinse then power back on to rinse then turn dial manually to then drain to get rid of water.
If the switch is left in its original wash position when powering back on it just don’t do anything.
Not even sure it’s does a wash correctly as these days as it stops before mid cycle.
The web says check that fast iron is not lit up which it isn’t.
As far as I know no error codes are displayed.
I know it’s a cheap washer in comparison to others but I expected it to last longer than 15-16 month.
Any help out there before the old sledge hammer comes out & I end up £500 lighter due to thinking of getting a Bosch washer if can’t be sorted or any other make which is good. Thanks

1st thing to do is check the filter at the bottom corner make sure machine is unplugged and you have towels to hand if you don’t find d anything in the filter check the pump housing the plastic thing that the filter goes into as the pipes that connect onto it can get blocked with coins

Checked the filter all fine just a bit of water.
I’ve had the top of and back off checked all hoses there fine. Checked the draining hose underneath the washer no blockages.
Any idea how I get to the pump housing

Anyone know what is best to buy these days something well made, does a fantastic job and gets clothes clean, last a long time as it’s on everyday, has the features, dont take 5 hours to wash anything, comes with a superb warranty and has good after sales in case it breaks.
Got to be a decent size drumOh and in black if poss to go with rest of kitchen but I’m not overlay fussed just instructions from the wife
Always been a believer of Bosch in the past

There is something blocked the pump and housing are held on with 2 7mm screws from underneath so if you tilt the machine at 45 degrees on the worktop the pump will be easy to remove

Had machine tipped up this morning found the filter pump etc. The big black hose is clear apart from a little dirt.

Did you notice if the water is warm when it stops? If glass is cold to touch could be a possible heater / heating problem.
