BekoProblem
ParticipantMy Beko WDA 91440 W washer dryer keeps displaying “Safety” then shutting down.
It will take in water, but will not wash, spin or dry.
It was in the middle of a wash &dry program, then wouldn’t dry. I removed a metal collar stiffener from the pump filter (must have been in previous wash).
Can you point me in the right direction please?May 8, 2018 at 1:21 pm #455806electrofix

reset the programme and try again
the only info I can find that may be relevant is a fault E45 which says safety message displayed
fault relates to the tumble dryer may just be a clogged condenser which affects air flow and causes overheating

Thanks for replying.
I have tried both washing and drying programmes, but to no avail.
The machine will take in water, then display “safety”, drain partially and shut down, or will ventilate then attempt to spin, display “safety” and shut down.May 8, 2018 at 2:15 pm #455808electrofix

maybe just needs fluff cleaning and some of the thermostats may have tripped due to overheating
fault manuals don’t list this as a specific fault and an engineer would have to put it in service mode and read the last fault code to get an idea whats going on

Ok thanks Dave.
I’ve cleaned out all the fluff I could find. I did wonder if it was overheating, but I have given it chance to cool down.June 4, 2018 at 4:28 am #455810jeremy_white

I’m having the same problem on a 2nd hand one I bought. I hope it is not a lemon.
Tried cleaning out the air filter and letting out the water at the bottom. It is not an overheating issue because it has not been used. I’ve tried both washing and drying programs. Each time it takes in water, then shows on the display rectangle containing a box that moves left and right (like a loading indicator on a web page), before eventually showing “Safety”, emptying out the water and shutting downJune 4, 2018 at 5:39 am #455811BekoProblem

I had someone come look at mine. The motor was dead. A new motor is about £180.
We ended up getting a new washer.Yours sounds exactly the same as mine.
