ParticipantHi all
My electrolux esl6211lo has stopped heating water after just over 3 years.
If it is a cheap fix then I would rather repair, but if it is more expensive then I will probably just hook up to the hot water supply.
Does anyone know what I should be checking & what components have likely failed?
Thanks!

heater is first thing to check
if you just hook up to hot supply machine will still try to heat and it will extend programmes, it also may not wash or dry properly as water will cool down while machine is running

From what i can tell with this one the pump and heater are one unit which is around £180, I haven’t physically checked, just from what i can tell on parts sites.
Any idea if i can get the heater separate for this model at all?

yes you can get the heater on its own
there are 3 different motors so 3 different heaters.
first you need to check its gone

Nice one.
What would be the best way to check whether it has gone?

unplug machine
gain access to heater motor
disconnect it and measure resistance with a multimeter

So i got it open and tested with a multimeter and confirmed it is the heater.
I have attached a couple of pictures of the dead part.. any idea where i can get one from?

Hello, This Bleckmann part is in a lot of dishwashers, well 2 I have now owned.
could you take the white plastic cover off and measure just the heater element with a multi-meter. I guess you will measure 30 Ohms. now looking at where the actual element connects to the outbound connector. On each side there are thermal breakers test the continuity between the element and each of these. I suspect you will find that one of them is marked with pen. My guess is this will be the one that is open circuit. -
