Tripping out

I am having problems with my Amica machine tripping out. I was an intermittent problem and always occurred near the end of the program and after it became more frequent, I examined the machine and discovered that the door seal was split in 2 or 3 places, so I assumed that was the cause of the problem with water coming into contact with the electrics. I stripped the machine to examine for any other causes and everything ‘seemed’ ok (i.e. no obvious burn marks etc…), so I put the machine back together with a new door seal. On the very first attempt to run the machine, it started ok and then during the initial filling, it tripped out. What can be causing this please?
