Hi all. I was wondering if someone could help me find the correct part?
The dryer is a Hotpoint TDWSF83B EP UK (Rebranded Whirlpool I think?)I have narrowed the fault down to one of the thermostats on the heating element, however, I am struggling to find which thermostat is the correct replacement. None seem to list this model number, and the very few that give their rating, are too low.
The Thermostat says: 2702 – 180°C – 50-15
(I have attached a photo)
Most replacement spares seem to be for 130°C.Other details from the machines sticker if needed:
8599 910 02020
07 1606 012644
F100202(fault found by checking readings across the thermostats, with that one not giving anything. I bypassed the thermostat temporarily, and the dryer worked with no problems)

By the looks of it you can reset this stat. There is a small hole in the top. Get a paper clip or other stiff wire and push it in the hole and gently push. As it resets it will click
After that you need to check all airways condensers the like. Check the element for damage.
If it trips again you will need to figure out if there is a reason why it’s tripped.
Will get you a part number for the stat when I get back to my computer

Unfortunately, it’s not resettable – the photo is a bit misleading.
That ‘hole’ is filled. I wonder if the housing is shared with some that are resettable, and they fill it for ones that aren’t.If you get the chance to find the part number that would be amazing thank you.

Are these stats mounted on the heater assembly, if so they are not listed as separate parts, only as heater assembly complete, a cool £86 . :rolls:

as Iadom says complete with element so you have to be sure its not a blockage problem before you replace it

airflow blockages.
filter hold it up to light is it completely clear?condenser is condenser completely clear ?
are all air ducts clear?
