Hi,
I’ve removed the back and lid and checked the resettable thermostat. The button is very stiff, so I don’t want to force it down. I’ve managed to borrow a multimeter, but I’m slightly confused as I’ve read that the reading on the thermostats should be 20-50 ohms, but also read they should be 0 ohms.
I’m not familiar with multimeters so, to begin with what ? setting should the multimeter be on? There is on audible icon, and then ranges between 200 – 200M.

Hi,
Some further info. I don’t know whats relevant, but hope it’ll help. It may be worth noting that I did call out an engineer, last week, he explained that it could be to do with the 2 metal bars just inside the door. He said they were a dampness sensor, but sometimes he’s replaced these and it still hasn’t cured the problem. He was supposed to get a quote for the part and come back to me, but I haven’t heard from him since.
Thermostats on the top of heater –
On the continuity setting – Non resettable 206, no buzzer.
On the resettable 000 with buzzer.Heater connectors –
White on 200 setting 79.2.
Blue on 2k setting .213Front NTC on 20k setting ranges around 12.
If anyone could please advise I would be very grateful.

Re: Beko DCU6130 – Not Heating – SOLVED
After speaking with Kenneth via chat. He suggested that it may be the heater based on the readings I gave him from the multimeter. He was absolutely spot on and we now have a working dryer. I since discovered that the ‘engineer’ that we called out fixes machines and sells them on, now there’s nothing wrong in that except he told me the heating element was not working. Make of that what you will. Many thanks to Kenneth for the advice and very timely delivery of the part. I shall recommend ukwhitegoods to others.
