Hi everyone I have a washer dryer LG F1480RD6 it’s only 3 years old and recently one day would not power up so I took the lid off to investigate and the circuit board which I think is called the filter coil I could see the large cap was melted and deformed so I bought the new part fitted it and it didn’t work still no change
I can test with my multimeter I have 240 v through the filter coil
Next I looked at the main board in the bottom it is glued in with jelly like substance but on looking at it I can’t see any caps burnt etc also looked at the pcb on the front controls again there are no signs of melting burning there either
So I’m assuming the main board has popped a resistor or cap which I cannot identify caused by the filter coil burn out
The next thing I am going to do is buy the main board would this be the correct thing to do
Thanks Richard
Yes but all I can say is it is PROBABLY that.
I had one do exactly the same thing and it was the main power board. Bit of a gamble of course, but it always is, as you cannot be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure!
