    The manual for my Currys Essentials CDW60B16 Dishwasher says

    To optimise your dishwasher for the local water hardness, please follow the steps below and refer to the table above.1. Press the On/Off button to switch on the dishwasher.2. Press and hold the Start/Pause button for 5 seconds until the salt refill warning indicator illuminates.3. Press the Start/Pause button repeatedly to adjust the water hardness level: H1 / H2 / H3 / H4 / H5 / H6.4. After adjusting the water hardness level, press the On/Off button to save the setting.

    I have tried this but when i press and hold the start/Pause button in step 2 it flashes between the salt and rinse aid light. Is it faulty or am i doing something wrong?

    I would ring up curries and ask them

    after all they import these from china. Its a low end cheap machine so to be polite you get what you pay for

    if you dig around some of the reviews it does not give you a lot of confidence in the brand and sourcing spares can be challenging
