This machine is rather puzzling, I supplied it brand new 3 years ago. The fault according to owner that it starts and washes for ten mins then it stopped. The display light remains on. She says it seems to apply to all wash programs (in my view that requires heating).

I thought perhaps heater failure, checked the heater and it’s fine, the wiring loom which is also fine. Have a hunch that heater relay switch may have packed up on pcb?

Need to be sure before forking our £150 plus on pcb. Any thoughts?

even if the heater relay had failed I would have expected the drum to continue to turn

still think pcb but think its more than a heater relay

the only long shot I can think of is water valves but with no fault codes I doubt it

does it do the same on the rinse programme ?

Have you tested whether the element gets a live feed? Often the relay switches the neutral and as such the live still gets to the element.

Dont quote me on that though, just something I would check…

Also, worth cross referencing the kOhms of the thermal sensor?

Apparently a calibration cured the fault – well that was a first! Never came across a calibration curing the fault before.
