I have a Siemens SD6 P1S dishwasher it’s about 6 years old. It’s gone wrong a few times! So I’m getting close to the fix or replace question! However, as an engineer (not in this field) I want a last crack at getting it going.
This morning I had an E:15 error code – asked Dr google who suggested tilting it to remove trapped water. It then ran through a Fast wash programme with an off the shelf cleaner – the cycle finished – but with an E:15 error code! Slid it out tilted it ran it again and same result!
On the third cycle, my view being it sort of works and if to get through the dishes I have to pull it out and tilt it – so be it – if not a bizarre method of operation.
Third time resulted in an E:01 error code! Again, Dr google and in response I have taken the impeller cover off in the sump and know the impeller moves freely.
Control panel will not allow a reset E:01 error code persists.
Any thoughts gratefully received – many thanks

If you are getting E15 code you have water going into the base of the machine and activating the anti-flood switch. Tilting it removes the water from the base, there is a polystyrene float that will then settle again and relieve pressure on the attached switch, clearing the error.
The question is, how is water getting into the base – you must have a leak somewhere. Worth checking that out.
E1 is listed as an electrical issue . . . if you have a leak then water will be finding it’s way where it shouldn’t (in the base tub of the machine) so again you really want to be finding and remedying the leak.
I also have a Siemens, 4 years, it’s been a right pain. Good when it’s working but gone wrong a few times like yours. Wouldn’t buy another, but I think the Zeolith drying system in mine was new at the time and maybe they’ve made it a bit more robust on newer machines.
