Thought I would start my own thread instead of hijacking another and sorry its another thread about not draining.
    Hi,
My Lamona Dishwasher is JUST out of warranty and guess what…it now wont drain.
Howdens were good enough to send an engineer FOC but he turned up and said it wasn’t the pump but a wire in the door and for health and safety he couldn’t fix it.
I have no idea what wire he is talking about nor was I here when he came so im in the dark.
I have checked everything i can see but im at a loss, any help would be gratefully received.
I have taken the pump out and checked and it works fine. the pump im referring to is what i think is the drain pump, as you look at the machine from the front its to the left at the front, connected straight to the draining pipe.
    Any ideas where to start??

It’s not uncommon for wires to break in the door of some dishwashers but not normally just over 2 years old which I presume yours is. If it is the door wires it will be at the bottom of the door where the wires go from the door to th base of the machine. Every time you open the door the wires bend and over years can break

    Thanks Dave,
They are protected with a plastic cover and Ive checked them and found no issues.
I also took the door apart …What a mess and couldn’t see anything shouting at me.
