    Hi folks,
I need to replace the cooling fan on my Diplomat ADP 3242 oven. I ordered a part that was supposed to be compatible but when it arrived the motor was on the opposite side of the fan housing from my appliance. The current wiring would not reach, and when I reconfigured it to fit it on the same side as my current model it rotated in the wrong direction! Can someone who knows this issue advise me please?
Other than that, the oven is in good working order.
    Many thanks
    :con:

    Hi

An email to our shop spares@ukwhitegoods giving them the model number they will be able to supply the correct one.

It does sound like you have the wrong one and that word “compatible” does have a lot to answer for 🙂

Thank you for getting back to me so promptly; greatly appreciated.

Unfortunatley I have been on the particular route you mention before, and ended up with the same problem! I have emailed the parts centre as suggested and will await their response, but am beginning to wonder if my cooker is ‘off planet’! It is frustrating to have to discard a perfectly good oven for the sake of such a minor issue.

Do you have any other thoughts or suggestions about this problem?

Re: Diplomat Oven ADP 3242 replace cooling fan

Thanks for getting back to me.
My unit is metal blades, rather than plastic/nylon…and more importantly the motor/drive on mine is mounted on the opposite side of the motor housing to the picture of the one you have sent me. Reversing the drive motor doesn’t work a) because it makes the fan go the wrong way and b) the terminals and drive unit stick into the insulating material of the oven.
    Any thoughts?
