Thanks muchly. I’ve never repaired microwaves though. It has lost some of its options which you used to be able to cycle through and it sometimes gets confused by displaying wrong options altogether. I also suspect it gives more power than it should on low microwave settings.
Does it sound like the control panel would fix it and is it easy to replace?

If the touchpad/key unit/membrane panel is not responding then it normally is at fault. From memory it was a problem on these microwaves.Pretty straight forward job, but you have to peel off the front panel carefully without damaging it as you need to stick it back on after you fit new keyunit.
Part No. 11933HS for keyunit….. special order. 😥
As for the too much power on low settings, I would doubt this to be possible.

Thanks Bryan. Do you mean it’s not a fault likley to happen? I don’t have an account with them so would they charge me retail? It wouldn’t be viable to open an account just for the one part.
It’s not that the touch panel doesn’t respond as such, it’s more that it either displays options from a different button or it cycles through some of the buttons options but misses some out.
thanks

Not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure but it does seem like faulty touchpad/keyunit.
Dave just volunteered to help you out with ordering parts from CH&S.

Thanks guys. I’ll see if the missus thinks it’s worth the money to get some of the functions back. The only one I miss is “Reheat:Plated” which I used to use to reheat me tea properly. That fuction has just disappeared.

ParticipantTake a couple of minutes to meter out the keypad matrix, see whether it’s just a dead button or if indeed the processor has lost it’s marbles…
