ParticipantHi everyone.
I hope I can get some advice here for my current situation:
Basically I have a 4 year old Whirlpool WWDC8146 washing machine which has decided to died on me with a F08 error code.
After googling and watching a couple of YouTube videos I bought a meter to check the element for continuity and I found out that there is non. So I order a new element. Took the machine apart, removed the old one, installed the new element (checked for continuity before and it passed with 28ohms) insert the old thermostat back in and put the machine back together.
Started a wash circle to check if it works (60C mixed with an empty drum) and it heated up the water. I was so proud to be honest but then my dream just came crashing down the second the washer showed the same error code at the end of the circle :conf:Now I have no idea and I hope someone can help me with this issue.
Original of the error: a month ago the fuse blew and I replaced it. Decided to have a 95C hot wash (prob the 10x since the 13A fuse blew) but this time it ended with the error code F08.
Honestly any help is appreciated.
Kind regards

first you need to check heater again for continuity
the heater has a safety fuse in it to stop things going on fire etc. if the heater is energised with little or no water it blows the fuse and the heater would need to be replaced
if it has blown then its likely the relay on the main PCB that controls the heater is welded closed and would need to be fixedDave

So I took it apart again checked for continuity and it all seemed perfect. Managed to get into service mode and then it said F13 :boops: as if I don’t have enough problems lol. However F08 was gone from the service mode … Test was successful door did look and unlock without a problem tho … So decided to do an empty 15 min cicle and what do I see at the end of it … F08 flashing with the service light
I am so frustratedJuly 11, 2018 at 10:39 pm #456766electrofix
