Hi I have an IKEA Whirlpool DWN 600 dishwasher. On returning from hols the red salt light is on and the program button flashes 11 times, pauses and repeats. The keys to select program start etc are inactive. I have filled up with salt but no change, any ideas ?

Thanks so it is the turbidity sensor, can this be changed or cleaned do you know ?

It can be, both but I’d need the service number that starts 85 from the rating plate on the dishwasher to tell you much more about it.

The number is 8542 509 01830
Don’t think it is the turbidity sensor as I can’t see one anywhere.
I can fwd picture if that would help

The red salt light is now out as I have added salt but the eleven flashes remain

On that model the 11 flashes or FA, where there’s no OWI as they call it used is indicative of a problem with the flow meter which is built into this fill chamber on the left side:
