ParticipantHi
We have an old Candy CCFF 29/13 fridge freezer.
Firstly, the freezer is still working but the fridge compartment does not. I took the panel of inside the freezer and defrosted it with a hairdryer and took away all the dust formed around the condenser at the rear of the machine yesterday. Today the freezer does have a bit of frost on the rear wall but still temp no lower than 15c
I have for some time suspected that the motor does not switch off at all and wondered if it was the sensor lodged in the cooling unit at the rear of the freezer compartment. The thermostat control on the top front of the f/freezer does seem to operate. If i turn it down the motor stops and when turned up it starts again after a while.
Also does anyone know how I get the top panel of the top of the fridge to get at the thermostat control.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards

That model number you have there isn’t being recognised anywhere, can you check it?

Hi
Candy CCFF 29/13 is the correct model number it’s still recognised by Google and Connect.
I remember selling these back in the day a good 20 odd years ago. It’s a 55cm frost free fridge freezer. There are virtually no functional parts available anymore I’m afraid.
Have you tried a total defrost?
You would need to unplug appliance and leave the doors open for three days in order to defrost it properly. Then plug back in and keep everything crossed.

Just like the person who could remember it from 20 odd years ago, the only difference being I haven’t dropped off yet 😆
