ParticipantThis one had me slightly stumped. In need of clarifying…
The main oven reached to temperature and won’t maintain temperature.
Am I right in thinking that it’s the oven thermostat being the culprit?
I have not been able to locate model number, on Connections it shows that there are three different thermostats for the main oven.
I ordered two different types but not the expensive one that explicitly says for left main oven. Hoping I would get away with one of the two cheaper parts.
Is there a knack on how to access it? Do I remove the induction hob?
Cheers Matt

whats the full model and serial Matt ? also whats the door latch like ?
To access stats etc its one of 2 ways depending upon model
either –
look on LH & RH side panels for rubber covers the size of a 5p towards the top and front of the panel ,removing the bung will reveal a pozi screw , remove and then the deck hinges up
Or
remove the fascia end plates which reveals a bracket with a screw , remove the screw and then look at the bottom of the side panel there is s screw holding the lower part of the panel in place – remove it and remove the side panel which reveals pozi screws at the top , remove them and the deck lifts and hinges at the back.
some stats come complete with switch others are just stats on there own that clip in the back of the switchHTH

The main oven door latch is a spring loaded catch with the door being female and the striker is on the main body.
The oven is basic in itself, not a multifunctional type, just a simple fan oven with temperature control. it applies to both left main oven and right tall oven each have their own temperature control by simply turning it on to temperature setting.

a lot of rangemaster models are hidden in the lower compartment. either just inside the flap or under the draw if it has one
