Hi all, our old second hand Bosch washing machine died last week and after a lot of reading on here I’ve decided to bite the bullet and fork out for a decent new machine. We’re over the moon with the Miele dishwasher we got a few months ago so that made the decision easier.
What’s not so easy is deciding which machine to buy, currently if buying direct from Miele there are 2 machines that are available with a 10 year warranty which seems like a good idea to me.
There’s the WCE320 which has the power wash function that sprays clothes from above.
Or there’s the WCE670 which comes with the Twindos self dosing system which I like the idea of.
Price wise they are close enough for it not to make a difference.
There are 3 of us in our house, I work away all week so turn up on a Friday evening with a bag full of clothes to wash ready for Sunday night. The rest of what happens is a bit of a mystery as I’m not there! But I know the teenage boy puts everything he’s even thought about wearing straight in the wash basket and his mum isn’t much better!
Sorry about the long winded post, any advice is warmly welcomed 🙂

I would stay clear of the self dosing machines. From some of the posts I have seen from other engineer’s they can be troublesome

the other machine you mention WCE320 is also available from John Lewis with the same guarantee but it also mentions a £200 cash back

    More on auto-dosing here:

And I’m absolutely certain that the Miele marketing spammers were in the comments there trying to make out that this was brilliant, it’s not.

Miele even blows up some of their own propaganda with the advice they give themselves that contradicts what they say.

My advice is also, stay well clear of auto-dosing it may well be beneficial in a commercial setting mostly to stop users doing stupid stuff but, to me and most with any knowledge, it certainly does not in a domestic setting.

Thanks for your comments chaps, it sounds like the 320 is the way to go I guess, it’s a shame, I like the idea of the auto dosing
