ParticipantProbably a really stupid question but is there a knack to opening the door to our new V7446X1GB Washer Dryer?
Sometimes it seems to unlock itself immediately at the end of the cycle; other times we have to wait ages. Sometimes fiddling with the dial seems to work, other times not.
Is this a fault, or am I being dense?! Can’t find anything in the manual about it.
Thanks,
David

Hi!
Once the program is ended the door is still locked for around 1 – 2 minutes. We would recommend once the machine has finished is to not touch anything, wait this period of time and you should hear a ‘click’ noise from the electric door lock and this should be free to open!
Please let us know how you get on and if you still have any issues. Please message us directly! 🙂
Thanks

Hi Brett,
Thanks for the reply.
Shame there is no mention of this in the manual!!
Is there any way to override it as it is a real pain?
Thanks, David

If you look at Page 31 of the User Instructions it explains the reasons why sometimes the door cannot immediately be opened. 😉

Thanks for that. Did not see that info.
Is there any way to turn off the delay in opening the door lock? We sometimes have to wait ages for it to click and allow the door to open. It really is a pain.

In a word, no.

How long is ages as the maximum time usually would be 2 minutes. Whilst you are waiting did you notice if the door lock icon on the display was flashing slowly, as described on Page 31?
