What different methods of operation and control are there fo

I am afraid Mr Google has not be very helpful on this query

in general or in particular

My concern is with a Servis M 7666

There appears to be only one sensor and that is in the fridge and apparently there for life .

While I have owned it it has always run the fridge a little to cool however about a month ago the fridge stopped working .

Did a week or so transferring frozen peas back and forth and then defrosted everything and it sort of worked after a fashion

So now I have now got it running on a 3rd party controller with the sensor within the freezer with a constant read out of freezer temp

Still whisper quiet not running excessively between 5 and 6 units of electricity per week

Ideally the fridge could be a little cooler any information on this subject would be much appreciated

Thanks in advance for reading and remaining hope full of relevant information

I have read that it could be short on refrigerant and that in our wasteful society it is no longer economic to re-gas

So just throw away and buy New..

I am afraid I am being a little stupid with this forums search feature
I can refine it to 2000 odd references to Servis but can not get it to simply select fridge or freezer or even the model number just 2027 or nothing and most are washing machines as far as I can see,
