ParticipantHi
My oven continues to heat up once switched on. Only way it stops is to switch off at mains/breaker.
Have replaced the temp sensor and thermostat, however, still the same.
Driving me mad!
Is the only option now the control board?
Thanks for any help/advice

all the controls feed back to the board where a relay controls the load. it sounds likely that the relay for this element is stuck in the closed position. These relays are cheap and simple to source but would need to be soldered into the board

Thanks for the reply.
Today, i noticed that when I just opened the oven door the oven started to heat up.
It only did it once.
Still worth a shot at the relay?
If so, is the board in the back aswel?
Thanks again

there are 2 boards. the one with the relays is mounted in the top.
the price to buy a new board is £143 so you have to hope its a relay
bit worried about it starting to heat just opening the door as all should be operating is the lamp

also found this in the manual
If a fault occurs in the oven system (such as a malfunctioning relay or temperature sensor), the temperature
sensor detects the malfunction and the system shuts off the power to the appliance using safety relay REL1.
The system also generates an error code identifying the fault that has occurredand yours is not doing this

Thanks again for your help with this.
Much appreciated.I was a bit concerned about heating up out of nothing!
Will try and locate the relay and have a go at replacing that.
Haven’t had that fault come up on the oven. Think we had an f one come up last year but nothing since then.
Thanks again.
