    Hello all,

we have a 2.5-year-old SMEG WDI147D-1 that has begun to show the error code 06.
I’ve cleaned out the filter a few times and ensured there’s no kink in the pipework, but it keeps happening. Sometimes on every wash, if we’re lucky we might go a fortnight without it appearing.

Any thoughts on what I can do to resolve it?

    Many thanks
    Ady

Sometimes the pump wires part break at the connector so I would have a look there first. Your built-in Smeg washer dryer I recognise as another brand or at least its very similar. You also may find that the cause COULD be an earthing fault with the tumble dryer element of all things. Your machine can also be bought as a Bosch, similar machine as model wkd28350gb and a Whirlpool which is where I first stubbled on the whole sorry saga. If the pump connector / wires are ok and since you probably will not have a megger tester: If you take note of the heater wires relative to the mainfold heater terminals with a perm marker pen – very important that bit! – and remove the heater wires and insulate them if necessary ( though from memory they are already with plastic sleeves ) and then try the machine as just a washing machine over a couple of weeks. If you find that all is well you`ll need a new dryer element which is modified ( though yours may be already? ), a faff to fit, and an absolute rip off to buy so you want to prove what part has gone wrong otherwise it gets expensive.! You get E06 have you ever seen E13 by any chance?
