I have a model LC85F fridge freezer just over one year old. Seriel No 703274474.
The freezer compartment is not freezing sufficiently, particularly at the bottom of the freezer.
I have removed the covers from within the freezer compartment to expose the cooling element at the top, and the freezer element is solid with ice. I have defrosted and it then works OK but for only about 2 weeks when the problem reoccurs. The seals are all in good condition.
I think the ice formed is blocking the flow of the fan, which is operating.
Can you please advise me what you think this fault is caused by? I’ve looked at Hotopoint parts thinking it may be the frost free heater, but it’s not listed which makes me think this freezer does not have one fitted?
