I have a Hoover TV 30 dryer that is no longer heating. I have removed the back element cover and after a general inspection (black marks on the element coils) I assume that it needs to be replaced. Can anyone advise me on a) how to test the element to verify that it has actually gone and b) where is the best place to buy a new element.

    Many thanks

A continuity check is the only sure way power off of course :zap:

But it’s a common enough failure to be 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain that’s the fault.

The heater is here in the UKW Shop:

It’s always the heater with these……… With the power off, you should not get a circuit reading through the heater when tested with a multimeter.

    is what you want.
