    Fitted new ropes & springs to this machine about a week ago…received a call today telling me the door resistance is ok, but the door opens lower than before !!.
    tells me when she removes the lower basket it should sit level on door …Now it drops a bit lower causing the basket to roll (not falling off)
    She feels its since I changed the ropes & springs which I tell her its not related..
    Any advice would be welcome….John

    you are right the ropes have no bearing on where the door stops so its got to be hinge damage

    Thats what I have told her, but as always the last person to touch the machine is always blamed…thats for your view…John

    Would suggest the door had been allowed to drop when the cords had broke or been broke. I imagine it would have been like it when the first visit was made, and something Inhave seen lots of when the cords break and the door drops..
