I have a 6 year old Bosch Condenser Dryer WTW863SOGB and the belt has just snapped.
I have successfully replaced the belt but there is now no heat. It runs cold.
I have looked everywhere for a heater reset button but can not find one.
Can anyone tell me where it is situated please or what I need to do now to reset the heater, test the heater or get the heater going again.

Probably, it’s been overheating when the belt snapped.

Safety stat on the heater will have blown.

New heater with stats is likely the answer and, probably not a cheap answer.

looks like a heat pump dryer so does not use a heater

when you changed the belt did you tilt the machine or turn it on its side. If yes did you give it time to settle before use?

Also some machines wont start drying unless there is wet washing in the drum. So did you try it empty and expect it might heat

    Thanks for the replies.
Dave is spot on and heater is working again.
Didn’t realise heater was heat pump type, no wonder I couldn’t find the electric heater or associated reset button, lol.
Yes, I did tilt machine on side to get to side panel screw underneath and probably didn’t give time to settle.
Yes, I did start it with nothing in and expected heat 😳
These modern machines are getting too clever for their own good……
Once again, thanks for the replies

well you have been lucky. if you tilt any refrigeration device, and don’t let it settle before switch on, you run the risk of oil getting into the compressor and if that happens its new appliance
