KeymasterNotifications and subscriptions in your control panel at the top is where you will find your threads.
The new threads thing we’re still working on as I used that as well.

KeymasterOKay so, maybe this was me being a bit dumb but apparently, the “New Topics” menu item just beneath “Forums Home” up the top does just that.
It shows all new topics and all new posts across all forums.
I’ve not tested that as yet but a quick look would tend to indicate that it is correct.

ParticipantIs there any way to include a wildcard in search or to search for posts containing more than one word, eg F3* (model range) AND turbidity (fault)?
November 7, 2018 at 9:19 pm #458339kwatt
KeymasterNot really no.
The problem being that you’d get that string in anything so, for example, imagine some of the results you’d get for ERR* and worse, the likes of the LG codes that can be contained within words.
It isn’t easy.
Plus keep in mind, no search is designed for pure techy stuff like that.

ParticipantCan dates be set in the UK format, not the American? For example today is 8-11-2018 not 11-8-2018.

KeymasterYes.
Didn’t notice that and done.

ParticipantThanks all, I’m gradually figuring out how the search facility works. I understand the issue with short strings, but my query was also about wildcards, ie using a special character such as * to search for multiple endings of a word. For example. on the old system I could search for WAE2* to find posts containing any one of the hundreds of Bosch WAE2..”. washing machine models. Is there anything similar available on the new platform?

KeymasterDunno. There is another search engine that can be used but if it’s any better, who knows but I’d doubt is a lot.
Of course the problem being, its got to remain “internal” to the site if you see what I mean.

ModeratorIt’s been brought to my attention that the reset password is not functioning. Have had a quick look myself and the link just goes to a blank page. Probably got a gremlin or two in there.

KeymasterNo Don, it’s a caching thing so far as I am aware but I will ask Sudeep to have a look.
