I have a 10 year old, large Britannia integrated fan oven. It no longer heats (grill fine) – I assume it’s the element.
I’m having trouble removing the element. Unlike normal ovens, it appears to be screwed in from the back of the oven (at the two points at the neck of the element). I’ve looked at the back of the oven and there are various layers in place making it very difficult to see how to detach the element.
Has anyone encountered this type – is it difficult to get to the element or should I just get an engineer in.

Normally those are accessed from the rear, they’re not that hard to swap out it’s just the getting to them that’s the hard part. Mostly though it’s back panel off and all will become obvious,
