Hello, I’ve a ignis adl347/2 dishwasher that sometimes won’t finish the cycle. It could stop and beep 2 minutes, an hour or near the end of the cycle. When it stops the start light just flashes continuously and beeps. It’s just one blink then pause then blink. For some reason I think it beeps as soon as the drain pump starts up. The pump still works and is not blocked and does drain the water but from listening to the machine this is when I believe the beeping starts. Is it possible the pump could cause this when it still works or is it probably a faulty Pcb? Any help appreciated. Thanks

it sounds like an old whirlpool machine in which case you have fault 1 NTC faulty or main pcb

also if its the machine I think it is they have a common problem of breaking wires at the bottom of the door. so that’s worth a check but be careful as a lot of them are the same colour and you don’t want to mix things up if more than one are broken

Thanks Dave. I checked the wires and none appear to be broke or damaged. Checked the sensor with a multimeter when cold and also in hot water and it appears to be o.k. The resistance changes value with temperature change although not sure it’s in spec. Is it possible to fix the pcb at component level? Would there be a part that commonly fails on the pcb to cause it to think the sensor faulty? Thanks

“dont know if its in spec “

thats the problem. If it was wildly out it would not even start washing as it would fault as soon as you powered up

sounds like an intermittant fault so its going to be hard to find it.

as for the board have not dug too deeply into these boards so dont know. I would expect there to be a bridge circuit to convert the resistance to an electrical voltage the chip can understand
