    We have a hotpoint lstb 4b00. The heating element needs replacing but we have been told that it is meshed in with the motor so it’d cost £250 to repair. Is this correct pls?

    No, it is not a full motor, the heater in that model is this one:

    So just to clarify, is the element not meshed in with the motor?
