ParticipantHi,
I have a 5 year old ISE 10 washing machine, and the rubber that I think cushions the drum against the casing at the front has come loose and can be pulled out from the front.
Anyone know how to refit this or do I need to get someone in to put it back for me?
thanks

Moderatorwould need a picture to see what has come loose
the seal does not cushion anything but is the water seal that allows the drum to move and it also acts as a door seal. it can come off round the door or it can also come off the drum. We would need to know how its come off to offer help

ModeratorThis is not the water seal Dave, it is attached to the front panel ( just slots on ) and is mainly to prevent small items from dropping into the base of the machine during loading/unloading. In fact it is perfectly safe to use the machine without this seal as long as you are very careful when loading the clothes.
Once these seals drop off they can be awkward to refit from the front, you will often find traces of fabric conditioner down the inside of the cabinet that gets under the lip of the seal and causes it to slide off.The best way to refit is to remove the front panel completely and lie it flat on the floor. You can then clean all the surfaces before you refit the seal. You may see pieces of duct tape at the bottom stuck on the panel. Three or four pieces of new duct tape around the seal will help to hold it in place. TBH a new seal is also a better option but not sure if they are still available. I would try and refit the old one first.
