Moderatorthe heaters on these come with the stats and you cant buy them on their own
you can check stat continuity with a multimeter just make sure you disconnect 1 wire to stop false readings

Moderatorno I doubt the heater is your problem unless you can see any broken elements.
yes it could be your heater but it could also be the control board. there is a relay on the control board that switches on the heater and this would be my next guess. if you wanted to be cetain on the heater you could remove it and do a resistance check with the meter

ParticipantHmmm
i ordered new part already lolok so onto the relay
can you point to me where the control board is ?
and what part i need to replace ?
or is it as simple as a dry joint ?thanks dave

Moderatorcould be a dry joint
as far as I know the control board will be behind the front panel. on this panel will be a relay that switches on the elements. I have had these relays fail on more than one occasion. they are normally readily available and cheap

Moderatorwell just guessing here but the second one is rated 16A so more likely to be for the heater
cant seem to find that one in stock but look at RTH34012
this is a 12volt coil single pole 16A relay. you need to look at contact positions to see if it will fit. Electrically seems about right

Participantthanks dave
i had the 16A relay out and opened it up for testing, was lots of carbon build up and no continuity on the back 4 pins when testingso i cleaned the carbon off and the relay seemed fine, i was getting continuity on the pins as per a repair video.
put it back in circuit and still got E15 with a fill flashing front display.
ill see what its like after changing out the parts on Tuesday.
its getting 3 relays and the full heater matrix lol.
if it dont work after this is getting taken in the garden and set on fire lol
thanks for your help dave
