    I need a new gas cooker and was looking at this range in a 50cm , Is the ultima range a bit better made Or any views on a decent model in that price range £380 thanks

    The Ultima range is of a slightly better build and is still probably about the best in that range of cookers. The only other worthy contender in 50cm gas are the Zanussi models.

    I would stick with the hotpoint if you go with zanussi and have problems with it go luck trying to get it fixed I’ve done the warranty work for zanussi and I would never buy 1
