ParticipantHi everyone, I have the NEFF B58VT68N0 oven which had the error E6200 every time I use the CircoTherm and other CircoTherm related programs. Dough Proofing, Bread Baking, Reheating all failed – I assume these use CircoTherm but I could be wrong. Top and Bottom works fine.
I had a service person come over last Friday to look at my NEFF oven but he couldn’t figure out what the problem is.The fan element did heat and you can see it go red. I have done some testing over the weekend and found these (I used an internal oven thermometer to test):
1. When CircoTherm is set to 120C, the error appears when oven is heated to 29C.
2. Run again, and error appears at 50C.
3. Run again and error appears at 72C. Residual Heat High message appears – although temperature below 120C. Residual Heat High should only appear when inner temperature is over 120C.
4. The lower the temperature I set on the oven the quicker the error appears. For example when I set CircoTherm 105C – the error appeared within 2 minutes. On 160C it takes a little longer – and occurred when it got to 118C..
5. On Top/Bottom setting it can go all the way to 265C with no issues.Any help much appreciated! Even NEFF themselves said that their manual does not mention what E6200 error mean..
Thank you

ParticipantThanks, Dave. I have a feeling that the code itself does not mean much as it seems like a code that appears when all other codes do not apply..
Any idea from my findings what could cause it? The fan motor is obviously working as it is moving, how about the control panel?

Moderatorno idea at all.
All fault codes that seem to be listed are 3 figures and not 4 so does not make any sense at all
there are a few Google hits on this but no answers
it does seem to be some type of control system fault but one that not documented in any manual
As an engineer I would start looking for long shots in this case. first I would look for the data wires between any of the boards, then disconnect and re connect them to rule out dodgy contacts then test the elements for slight earth leakage as on some machines this has been known to cause problemsall in all its a bit weird that is only seems to happen on certain settings which means the boards operate normally in all other settings

ParticipantHi Isabelle,
Did you ever get anywhere with this? Coincidentally, my Neff oven just developed the exact same fault when using in Circotherm mode. The error happens at 200C, once the oven reaches that temp. Makes me wonder if it is some sort of thermostat or sensor issue. I phoned Neff but they’ve just said I’ll have to arrange an engineer at £109 call out (my oven is just under 3 yrs old). I couldn’t find any other references to that error for online. You’d think there should be a list of error code meanings published – seems like they’re guaranteeing work for their service division

Moderatorthere are list of error codes but this one does not fit the bill for a normal error code so is not listed
from the way your fault shows itself i would be looking at earth leakage on the elements first as most faulty elements get a lower insulation resistance as they get hotter

Hi kjmdickson,
Sorry I just saw your message. They changed the fan motor on the advice of BoschSiemens, but that did not fix a thing. Error still happening and they are now thinking it may be the control panel. But again this is just a trial and error.
Any luck on your side? I would love to know what is causing this!!
Thanks

ParticipantHi Isabelle10/kjmdickson
Appreciate this is now a further 3 years on since you posted, but wondering if you made any progress?
I have the same issue. In fact, it’s the second time I’ve had it. Around a year ago, I started getting E6200 and followed some advice somewhere to replace the blower motor. This made the error go away, however it has come back. I have replaced the blower motor again but this has not resolved it this time. There must be some other issue at play here. Maybe the fan in the top of the oven?

ParticipantFYI; I replaced the control board and this resolved it for me. I documented the process here… https://www.matt-thornton.net/?p=2590

ParticipantDid anyone check at the rear of the control board for burnt tracks? I seem to recall that I did something similar few months ago. Not a cheap job that was especially for a relatively new oven that was just out of guarantee?
