    Hi,

    Customer was sent the above stat (see photo1) as a replacement for the stat fitted in a
    Hotpoint range cooker 35232 ser. 711190074 convection oven. It is to replace a 2 tag
    and earth type stat (see photo2). The replacement has 3 sets of tags(A,B,C) and earth. Is
    it a compatible replacement? Is there a wiring convention for it as all three tags become live
    ie that is all in circuit together, when stat switched on and all open circuit when off? Can I
    just pick any set of two?

    This machine isn’t listed in Partfinder, is it badged?

    If anyone could give guidance, would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Laurence

    No information on this model but the thermostat terminals on the replacement stat are listed as A-B

    bit of a guess here but

    there are 3 contacts so there will poss be

    common terminal

    a terminal that switches permanent live to feed a fan motor

    and a temp controlled terminal to feed an element

    try heating up an oven and get the probe hot and see if 1 term switches off

    ET51001/J5 Connection Data
    Common=A
    Element=B
    Fan=C (Where used)
    Listed Temperature 230C (UNCONFIRMED)

    Are there any specifications or codes on the old thermostat?

    Kind Regards, Murv.
