    Easy wash D-50 dish/glass washer.

customer complains, confirmed during my visit:

As a ’90, 120 or 180′ wash is nearing completion, the machine only makes a whinning noise (external water softener/filling up) for a split second. Usually, this noise would occur for longer, 10 seconds or so.

Also, once a program has completed, usually, after opening the door and reloading, shutting the door is enough to start a new program. Without manipulating the selection switch. However, now the machine will only ‘pulse’ the wash motor for a split second.

if the selection switch is turned to an ‘off’, or ‘heat’ position, and then returned to a ’90, 120 or 180′ program the machine will always work properly.

I have replaced the capacitor on wash motor and it hasnt helped.

I havent any experience on these.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

I don’t know that model but check for things like burnt connections (especially common on the smaller machines), also is the rinse tank getting hot as many won’t run till the rinse tank is up to temperature (it may be that it has multiple elements in the rinse tank and 1 or 2 of them have failed making it slower). I would also be looking to see if it has a rinse pump and if so if that works.

Thanks for your input Jem, appreciated.

The machine does heat the water, and the wash/rinse motor does seem work perfectly.

I will check the elements to confirm they are all working (if indeed it has more than one).

i noticed the main selection switch had some signs of burning – plastic switch body slightly darkened etc. However, it appears to work on all settings.

i do wonder whether the operators are confused/thinking there’s a ploblem when there isnt.

If only i could confirm that under normal working circumstances:

    • If the selection switch is left on a 90, 120 or 180 setting, is opening and shutting the door (after a wash has completed) meant to restart a fresh wash? Or is the operator supposed to rest the switch to off before attempting a new program. That does sound a bit counter intuative to me, but, as i said, i am not familair with these machines.

    cheers.

These commercial machines often have options about how to start them e.g. when you press the button or when you close the door, another one is also that some will only run when the rinse tank reaches temperature. It may be worth looking in the base at the front as sometimes there are some coloured single connectors down there that look like they have no function but are usually the way of setting the options. Could really do with a wiring diagram (often located behind the front panel) to be able to say more.

Thinking about it you may need to check the controller – it may be a mechanical motorised unit with multiple cams and sometimes the rinse one will be an adjustable cam so it may be that that is out of calibration.

Thanks for your help here HOLLYTREE.

The machine is still usable, and given my lack of xp working on these, I wont be working on it again!

STill, I appreciate your input, hopefully someone else will find some worth in this thread.

    Peace.
